About the Role:

Google is inviting experienced professionals to join its gTech Users and Products (gUP) team as a Program Manager focused on User Experience Design and UPI-based Consumer Support. This role is essential in shaping the way users interact with Google Pay and other Google products, ensuring seamless support and regulatory compliance in the Indian payments ecosystem.

As part of gUP, your mission will be to build trusted, localized user experiences across product lines by working closely with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Compliance, Engineering, and external partners like NPCI and banking institutions.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in:
    • Program management
    • Stakeholder management
    • User Experience (UX) design
    • Consumer support operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering user-centric experiences.
  • Deep understanding and troubleshooting experience with Unified Payments Interface (UPI) platforms.
  • Prior exposure to start-up environments and dynamic product rollouts.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Google Pay or similar UPI-based products.
  • Expertise in handling multiple stakeholders and external partnerships for program delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of user support strategy for Google Pay, understanding both product needs and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with NPCI, banks, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams to ensure Google’s UPI-based offerings remain compliant and high-performing.
  • Coordinate product launches by aligning with regional teams, internal support units, and technical partners.
  • Drive support readiness by ensuring systems and teams are equipped to handle scale and complexity.
  • Collect, analyze, and share user feedback and insights with Product and Engineering teams to enhance the user experience.
